The Outsiders

A group exhibition from artists David Auld, Yvonne Auld, Linda Bean, Alison Craddock, Sue Hallissey, Cathy Hilser, Irene Stuttard, Gillian Sylvester, Felicity West, and guest artist Patrick Hallissey.

Together we are ‘The Outsiders’ — a group of artist friends who have been painting ‘en plein air’ together since 2016. Working side by side, we are often drawn to the very same view, yet each of us creates something entirely distinct. We are inspired by the beautiful landscape and gardens of Wiltshire.

Using different mediums, such as oil, acrylic, watercolour, and pastel, our individual paintings respond to light and landscape in wonderfully different ways in our work.

This exhibition brings together a selection of our ‘plein air’ paintings alongside studio works, offering a glimpse into both our shared experiences outdoors and our individual creative journeys beyond them.

Joining us in this Exhibition is guest artist, Patrick Hallissey, an Expressionist Painter, his paintings are made in a quick spontaneous way, full of colour and imagination.

We hope you enjoy exploring the exhibition and spending time with the work in this lovely gallery space.

Please note this exhibition will open at the later time of 1pm on the 12th of October, and close at the earlier time of 1pm on the 26th of October. All other dates the gallery will be open 9am to 4pm as usual.
