As the first group to exhibit in the newly refurbished Old Town Hall these local artists are proud to present “You need some colour in your life”, to brighten up the dreary winter months.
Leading the exhibition is Samuel Lindup. Sam created 12 of the front cover artworks for The Old Town Hall community paper Celebrate, as well as the wonderful new tapestry currently on display in The Old Town Hall, which depicts it’s long history.
Also exhibiting is Alex Compton, a fused glass artist who creates amazingly colourful and vibrant pieces. She is the owner of The Court Street Gallery in Trowbridge and is a resident artist at The Corsham Gallery.
Other artists include Paul Chapman with his pop inspired folk art, eye catching Sorisi Ceramics and beautiful wildlife paintings by Hollie Molloy. Joanne Spencer presents expertly crafted reduction lino prints and Kate Cochrane a colourist professional artist who paints landscapes. Finally Nathan Hamblin’s truly remarkable laser-cut pieces are mixture of 2D & 3D marvels.
Altogether, the show will provide a wonderful glimpse into the creative world of a variety of local artists.
The exhibition runs from 16 January to 20 February, open 9am–4pm, Monday to Saturday.
